Children

Two Environments Custom-Made for Your Child

G8way centralpark2Kids is a children’s ministry uniquely designed with your child in mind, and is divided into two parts (Central Park Preschool: Birth – Kindergarten; and Big Top Kids: 1st – 5th Grades). It is our priority to make G8wbigtopsmallay kids experience a safe, age-appropriate environment, where they learn the Bible in fun, creative, and relevant ways. Join the fun, and experience a world where all kids meet Jesus on their level!

Our Values

  • Relationships: Above all, we pray that each of our kids come to experience a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. And we also value our children’s relationships within our small group settings where they relate to their small group leaders and other children within the group. As our families commit to attending the same service each week, children become accustomed to a number of familiar faces where relationships can grow!
  • Creative Bible Teaching: We believe that the Bible is the most amazing book ever written! We strive to bring its stories to life through activities and discussions that keep children engaged. We want all children to both love God’s word, understand it, and apply it to their lives.
  • Age-Appropriate Environments and Teaching: We are passionate about children learning about Jesus in a way they understand. That’s why we craft our environments and select our Bible lessons based upon the physical, mental and emotional needs of our children.
  • Fun: Everyone, especially kids, loves fun! We know that when children have fun at church, they can’t wait to come back. We value creating fun ways for children to learn about Jesus.
  • Safety: We believe that safety is vital—our families entrust us with their children each week. Therefore, each child who comes to G8way receives a nametag with a unique, randomly generated identification number which matches their parents’ identification number, each volunteer in our children’s ministry undergoes interviews and federal background check, and our teams monitor all hallways and exits.

First Time at G8way?

Look for the Guest Services Counter just inside the main entrance. We’re happy to meet your family, check your child into our database system, and guide you to your child’s room.

We will ask for the following personal information: family member’s names, children’s names and birthdates, family address, phone number, and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your child.

You and your child will be given matching identification tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion of your matching identification tags which bears a code that is matched to your portion during checkout at the end of the service. During check-out, you will return to the check-out area and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.

Once your family is checked in, one of our volunteers will be happy to show you the age appropriate room we have created for your child. And then, on your way home, be sure to ask your child: “Did you have fun?” and “What did you learn today?”

A Special Note

If for some reason, your child needs you during the service, we will flash your family identification number onto the screen in the auditorium. If your identification number appears, we ask that you exit the auditorium immediately and look for a team member who will direct you to your child’s room. If you were to lose your portion of the tag, please go directly to the Guest Services Counter, be ready to show your drivers’ license, and we will issue you another one.

What to Expect When You Return to G8way

As you enter G8way, your first stop should be to visit our check-in area where a friendly volunteer will check your child in for the service you are attending. Our check-in stations open 30 minutes before the beginning of each service. Our check-in volunteers will ask you for the last four digits of your phone number (or your child’s full name) in order to locate your family in our database system.

You will receive a set of tags with a family identification number for you and for your child.  Your child will wear the tag with his or her name.  Please hold on to your portion of the tag until checkout at the end of the service, because you will need it to check your child out of our ministry. No child is released unless the matching identification tag is presented.

If you were to lose your portion of the tag, please go directly to the Guest Services Counter, be ready to show your drivers’ license, and we will issue you a duplicate identification tag.

Please be sure to ask any of our amazing volunteers or staff if you have questions about our values, policies, or procedures. Thanks for checking out G8way Kids!
