Good news for the whole world.

The Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) is a collection of like-minded churches working in cooperation with one another to impact the whole world with the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Though Christians worldwide express their worship in different kinds of churches, as we understand the Scriptures and church history, we have been led to express our congregational identity as “Baptist.” Since our inception, Gateway Community Church has been an autonomous member of the Baptist State Convention of NC and the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), supporting their multiple ministries in our state, our country, and worldwide. In October 2022, we applied for and received membership in our local Baptist Association, The Neuse Baptist Association.

While we support other local, national, and international partner ministries, our affiliation with the SBC reflects the heart of our agreement with other baptists theologically and the cooperation we share in evangelizing people groups, planting churches, and equipping Christians to reflect the glory of Jesus Christ.
