Jesus Christ Is Our Only Hope
““There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” ”
Jesus Christ is the only hope—for your life, for our community, and for the world.
What do we mean by that? Jesus is full of grace and power. He loves the unlovable, restores the broken, and raises the spiritually dead. He softens the hardest hearts, forgives the deepest sins, and welcomes the outcast. He calls sinners His friends. He gives peace to the restless, transforms lives from the inside out, and fills what was once meaningless with lasting purpose.
Can you imagine that kind of transformation in your own life? In our community? In our world?
Our Problem: Sin
““For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.””
The Bible is clear—humanity’s greatest problem is sin. Sin isn’t just bad behavior; it’s the inward rebellion of the heart against God. It separates us from Him and corrupts every part of our lives. No amount of effort, goodness, or religious practice can remove it. Because God is holy and just, sin deserves judgment—eternal separation from God.
That’s a serious problem—and one we cannot fix on our own.
God’s Solution: Jesus
““But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” ”
But God, in His mercy, stepped in to do what we could never do. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to take the punishment for our sin. At the cross, Jesus bore the judgment we deserve. Through His death, He offers forgiveness, peace, and restoration. And through His resurrection, He conquered death and now offers us new life—a life reconciled to God, marked by hope, purpose, and transformation.
This is the gospel: the good news of salvation for all who believe.
Why God Did This
““For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.””
Why would God do such a thing? The Bible tells us it was because of His great love and for the glory of His name. God delights to save sinners. He is both just and the justifier. The cross of Christ reveals both the depth of our need and the heights of God’s redeeming love.
Your Response
““Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.””
So how will you respond?
Salvation is not earned—it’s received by faith. To be saved is to confess your sin, turn from it, and trust in Jesus Christ alone. It means surrendering your life to Him as Savior and Lord. He doesn’t just forgive—He calls you into a new life of discipleship, following Him daily, growing in grace, and living for His glory.
If this is your desire, you might find this prayer helpful:
Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and cannot save myself. I confess my sin and ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for me and rose again to give me new life. I turn from my sin and trust You alone as my Savior. Take my life and make me Yours. From this day forward, I will follow You as my Lord. Amen.
Remember, these words do not save us just because we say them. We must mean them in our hearts. If you prayed this prayer sincerely, you belong to Him, and His blessings are now yours! That's excellent news, and you're now ready to begin your new life in Christ by reading and studying your Bible, following Him in believer's baptism, connecting with a local fellowship of believers, and growing in your new life Christ through discipleship and service!
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them”
